Gabrielle Everett completed her Bachelor of Arts degree (1990) at Lyon College and her Master of Arts degree (1995) and a Specialist in Community College Teaching degree (2001) at Arkansas State University. Prior to becoming a community college instructor, she spent six years teaching in the public school system in Oxford, Mississippi. Professor Everett has worked at community colleges in Arkansas, Arizona, and Missouri. Professor Everett has served on numerous college committees and has held leadership positions on Faculty Senate and JCNEA executive councils. She is a member of the National Women`s Studies Association, the Missouri Historical Society, and the National Organization for Women, and is a contributor to the Women Airforce Service Pilots Museum. Her main area of study is 20th century America and Europe.

Professor Lisa Hollander holds a BA in English from the University of Denver, a diploma in International and Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics, an MA from Columbia University in New York, and has completed coursework for a PhD in History. Ms. Hollander teaches courses in three disciplines: Geography, History, and Political Science. Professor Hollander has taught at Jefferson since 1997, and, in that time, she has earned the Student Senate Faculty Member of the Year award, the Governor`s Award for Excellence in Teaching, the Linda Johnston Assessment Award, Jefferson College`s Foundation Faculty of the Year award, and the Missouri Community College Association`s Global Educator of the Year award. Deeply committed to bringing international issues into the Missouri community college curriculum, Ms. Hollander serves on the Diversity Committee and the Global Education Subcommittee and acts as Coordinator of the Global Studies Program. Born in Zimbabwe, Ms. Hollander has lived in a multitude of countries in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, and has lived in six different states of the United States. In her spare time, she collects history books and travels as much as possible.

Scott Holzer holds a B.A. from Humboldt State University, and an M.A. and a Ph.D. from the University of Mississippi. Dr. Holzer began teaching in 1993 and has taught at Jefferson College since 1997. In that time, he has received The Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award, the Governor`s Award for Excellence in Teaching, Teacher of the Year from Jefferson College`s Phi Theta Kappa chapter, Xi Zeta, and twice been named Faculty Member of the Year by the Student Senate.

Mr. Lee earned a Master of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Arts in History from Arkansas State University. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Southern Mississippi and an Associate of Arts degree in Paralegal Technology from Jones County Junior College. Prior to joining the Jefferson College faculty, Mr. Lee taught classes at Arkansas State University. He was also the Secretary General for the Arkansas State University Model United Nations Chapter.

Joseph Thurman holds an M.A. degree and a B.A. degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He is currently working toward a Community College Teaching and Learning Graduate Certificate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and then plans to begin work on his Ph.D. in history. Joseph`s primary field of interest is 19th-century United States history, specifically the Reconstruction Era. He is currently conducting research for an article about the education of Freedmen in Missouri during Reconstruction. Joseph has also conducted award winning research on the Nazi educational system. In addition, he recently published an article on James H. Lucas in the Missouri Historical Review, which he plans to extend to a full-length biography. Joseph has taught United States History at Jefferson College since August 2004. He has also taught United States, European, and World History at Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey, Illinois (2005-2008).
